Other Regulations
Driver, passenger and machine must complete the race and cross
the line together in order to score championship points in
the sidecar classes.
2006 Season
It has been agreed that from January 2006 there shall be a
single sidecar class consisting of single cylinder 125cc 4-
stroke road based motorcycle and scooter engines.
This ruling will only come into force if government or local
council authorities, or race circuit owners decide there is
a ban imposed on the use of two stroke derived race outfits
in their region.
Unlimited tuning will be allowed in this class as to allow
the machines to approach the power level already set by the
formula one race outfits.
In the instance of both 2-stroke and 4-stroke outfits are
allowed to race together, (where there is no restriction imposed
by the above mentioned governing bodies) there will be no
separation on the points scoring system.
General notes
Any bodies contesting the ruling brought about by the regulations
as above will not be heard at the race meetings, but will
be addressed at a committee meeting at an appropriate time.
Additional notes
Scrutineering decisions are final. Any team forsaking the
rights of the regulations set by the committee may lead to
an exclusion from the event and possible ban.
Competitors notes
Any noted disruptive behaviour with regards to the safety
of the race will be subject to a committee decision as regards
to possible points deduction. Modification made to race m/c’s
beyond the jurisdiction of the regulations during the course
of the race event will lead to exclusion.
It has been decided that the 2005 season that both f2 and
f1 outfits will race together. When signing on you will be
asked which class you are competing in. The qualifying times
and grid positions on race day will only apply to the class
chosen.
How the combined class will be started on race day has not
been decided as yet, i.e whether F1 outfits start first, closely
followed by F2 or whether both classes start together.
